VDR, Very Dark Red, from Scheid Family Wines is a 2020 blend of Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot from Hames Valley in Monterey. Winemaker notes describe a deep dark garnet color with ripe black cherry, blackberry and boysenberry, floral lavender, and mocha, black tea and sweet Madagascar vanilla. Supple tannins and cascading dark fruit in every sip.
