Matthews Claret is the Woodinville winery's flagship Bordeaux blend, drawing on Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec from top Columbia Valley sites. The winemaker's notes find powerful aromas of black raspberry, fig, ginger spice, and cigar wrapper, leading to bourbon cherries, violets, blackberry pie, and allspice. Full-bodied and unctuous with broad, velvety tannins, a serious Washington red built to age.
