Winemaker Jeff Runquist's flagship blend, named '1448' for his winery's elevation in Amador County's Shenandoah Valley. Producer notes for the current release describe a Petit Verdot, Petit Sirah, Tannat and Barbera blend showing blue and black fruits, black raspberry, vanilla, hazelnut and caramel, with toasted-oak creaminess and mature tannins. Bold Sierra Foothills character, bottled with conviction.
