Duett saddles are built on a specialized "Hoop Tree" (also known as a U-tree) rather than a traditional A-shaped tree. Instead of pointing down sharply like a pyramid, the pommel arch is completely rounded like an upside-down "U".   A 38 cm hoop tree is a lifesaver for owners of "table-top" shaped horses that have zero visible withers and flat, barrel-like rib cages—such as Haflingers, Fjords, broad Morgans, Cobs, and Draft crosses.

Fidelio is built with a deep, supportive seat pocket and a narrower twist than other Duett models to prevent the rider from feeling forced into a hip-stretching "crotch-split" on a wide horse. An 18" seat is highly popular for average-to-taller adult riders.  This saddle has a 18" deep seat and standard flaps.
