Beautiful vintage Henri de Rivel close-contact saddle marked Sellier Henri de Rivel, France. This older French-made HDR features a classic hunt-seat design with a balanced 17 inch seat, forward-cut flaps and traditional close-contact construction.
 
Finished in rich Havana brown leather, this saddle has developed an attractive patina while remaining exceptionally presentable for its age. The seat, flaps and exterior leather show relatively light cosmetic wear, while the underside displays normal darkening and marks consistent with previous use.
 
Designed for hunter, jumper and equitation riding, the saddle offers the relatively open seat and close feel associated with traditional French-style jumping saddles. Its understated design makes it equally appropriate for schooling or the show ring.
