A quality Western saddle specifically developed with the broad, round-backed Friesian horse in mind. The Black Sterling Friesians Sterling Western saddle was designed to provide the additional width and support often needed by Friesians while maintaining a comfortable, secure position for the rider.
 
Built on a durable Steele Equi-Fit fiberglass tree, the standard Sterling Western features Full Quarter Horse Bars (FQHB) with an approximately 6.75" gullet. The deep padded 15" seat, 5" cantle and 12" swells provide a secure and comfortable riding position, making this an excellent option for trail riding, Western pleasure and general recreational riding.  Comes with a matching breastcollar.
 
The saddle features traditional Western construction with quality cowhide leather, 7/8 double rigging with stainless-steel dees, substantial fenders, 2½" stirrup leathers with Blevins buckle adjustment, and polished aluminum stirrups.
 
Originally designed specifically for Friesian horses, this saddle may also be a good option for other broad, round-backed horses such as some Warmbloods and draft crosses, depending on individual conformation.
