The park has about ten miles of multi-use trails open for riding. Trails open to horseback riding are the Old Carriage Road, Difficult Run, Mine Run, Matildaville, and Ridge Trails only. There is ample parking in the upper parking lot during the weekdays. However, weekend parking is at a premium, especially during the spring, summer, and fall months. Trails are well marked and you can obtain a map at the entrance. Trails range from park like settings, to wooded trails and overlooks. Great Falls Park trails connect to River Bend Park Trails which has another 10 miles of trails. Riverbend Park offers several loop trails that highlight the natural beauty of the park and its history. All trails are moderately easy and go through meadows and woods.
